The objectives of this Association shall be:

• To assist, promote, encourage and support the interest, welfare, future, and professional image of the ground water and drilling industry in all of its phases generally and in particular within the state of South Carolina;
• To foster, aid, and promote scientific education, fair and applicable standards, research, and techniques in order to improve methods of well construction and development, and to advance the science of ground water hydrology;
• To encourage cooperation of all interested groups, associations and governmental and scientific agencies relative to the protection, use, and management of underground water supplies;
• To promote and assist in the evolution of drilling and pumping equipment and practices;
• To collect, analyze, and disseminate to the public facts about the role of the ground water and drilling industry in the state of South Carolina and the nation; and
• To protect the public’s right to have and use private wells.
